Vegas Shooting: Politicization of the Dead, #TheResistance lauds murder of Trump supporters

President Trump stated the attack was an "act of pure evil."

"Our unity cannot be shattered by evil. Our bonds cannot be broken by violence. It is our love that defines us today, and always will forever," said the president.

President Trump went on, "In times such as these, I know we are searching for some kind of meaning, some kind of light in the darkness. The answers do not come easy."

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was quick to politicize the shooting by launching an attack against the National Rifle Association (NRA) and its supporters. The shooting began at 7:50 GMT and by 15:31, Clinton said in a series of Tweets,

"The crowd fled at the sound of gunshots. Imagine the deaths if the shooter had a silencer, which the NRA wants to make easier to get. Our grief isn't enough. We can and must put politics aside, stand up to the NRA, and work together to try to stop this from happening again."

Will Gore wasted no time to soap box on the bodies of the victims, "Donald Trump differentiated himself from Obama most obviously in his position toward guns," wrote Gore.

"He has regularly used intellectual gibberish to cover up the fact that the US has a gun homicide rate getting worse by the year. The entertainer-President, arch-appeaser of the gun lobby, is part of the problem today," Gore added.

#TheResistance mobilized to condone the murder of whites in Vegas, apparently justified by the color of their skin and presumed political affiliation. A member of #TheResistance and teacher stated, "Pray only trumptards died"

Another Twitter user celebrated the shooting by Tweeting, "Shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas?! Looks like revenge on those Trump supporters." He was joined in lauding the murder of Trump supporters by other tweeters.

In another development, witness Brianna Hendricks claims that 45 minutes before the shooting began, “There was a lady who came running up behind us in the concert and she started to play with people's hair, acting crazy, and she told us that we're all going to f***ing die."

“She said they're all around us and we were going to die," Hendricks added.  The unidentified woman was removed from the concert by security and has yet to come forward, it is unknown if she had knowledge of the imminent attack.

Hendricks had returned to her apartment 15 minutes before the shooting broke out and witnessed the carnage from her home.

Per Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo:

  • The shooter was 64-year-old Stephen Paddock.
  • Paddock killed himself in his hotel room when confronted by police. He had been there since September 28th.
  • Paddock was a licensed pilot, who owned two planes. He also had a hunting license from Alaska.
  • Several rifles were found with Paddock.
  • Marilou Danley, a woman reported to be his roommate, has been located out of the country and is "not believed to be involved" in the attack per Sheriff Lombardo.

The shooter's brothers, Eric and Bruce Paddock, were "dumbfounded" by the news that Stephen was behind the shooting.

“Mars just fell into the earth,” Eric Paddock told NBC News. Eric Paddock described Stephen as "just a guy" that spent his retirement who going hotels and gambling.

Bruce Paddock said he hadn't spoken to Stephen in 10 years but didn't understand "how he could stoop to this low point, hurting someone else."

No clear motive behind the shooting has been established.

CBS Vice President Hayley Geftman-Gold has been sacked after she stated she felt no sympathy for the Las Vegas shooting victims, because conservatives apparently deserve to be murdered.

In a message that has since been deleted, Geftman, now a former CBS senior counsel member, alluded to the Sandy Hook shootings as justification for the murder of Republicans, "If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs [sic] will ever do the right thing."

The Daily Caller managed to snag the message before it went down. Geftman added, "I’m actually not even sympathetic bc [sic] country music fans often are Republican gun toters [sic].”
