In Honor of the Fallen
Ian Robert Henderson, Foreign Policy Contributor & Outreach Co-Chair
From Lexington and Concord where the shot heard 'round the world ushered forth the birth of a new republic, to the battlefield of Gettysburg where thousands shed blood over the fate of a nation, to the beaches of Normandy and Iwo Jima where American servicemen fought to prevent tyranny from conquering the world, to today's conflict zones in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan where terror groups threaten international security, brave men and women of all stripes have laid down their lives to defend this nation and those abroad. Without their sacrifice, we would not have the freedoms we enjoy today. Today is a day to honor those fallen who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect the nation and people they loved so dearly. This memorial day, take a moment to reflect on those who made the most selfless decision to defend our great great nation. God bless our fallen heroes and God bless America.
